Overview
My goal is to build a responsive web and mobile app for Hungarian condominium managers that reduces administrative overload and enables transparent task management.
The idea came from direct work experience at a small condominium management firm, where I designed and maintained an Airtable-based task tracking system from scratch. I wanted to rebuild that logic as a proper, scalable product, optimised for both desktop and mobile.
To validate the problem, I conducted a short research sprint: cold calls and an online survey with Hungarian property managers. Every respondent said they would use a well-structured digital tool.
01. What condo managers actually need?
As a result of my research sprint, seven condominium managers answered my questionnaire. They represented different firm sizes, ranging from 10–25 properties to over 100. Their experience spanned from 3 to 29 years; four of them had been in the field for over a decade.
Condominium managers work with many different online and offline tools, from post-its and handwritten notebooks to Excel and task management software like Monday. On a scale from 1 (chaotic) to 5 (fully under control), 1 out of 7 felt their tasks were impossible to track, 3 out of 7 felt moderately, and 2 out of 7 felt fully in control of their work.
Notably, both of those last two relied on very different systems – one used an unspecified software, the other a handwritten notebook – suggesting that the tool matters less than having a consistent system at all.
7 respondents confirmed the main pain points as:
- administrative overload
- lack of structured task tracking & deadline notifications
- communication difficulties with condo owners
