Nice to meet you!
I’m Nora Abu Yousef, a freelance product designer based in Budapest with a background in graphic design and project management.
As a designer I'm drawn to the kind of work where design decisions actually matter, where getting it right makes a difference for both users and the business.
My interest in UX design started in 2024.
I was working for a small, family-run property management firm. Where my boss didn’t have a working system for tracking tasks. So I offered to build one: An Airtable database where information, tasks and assignees were connected together. The system played a part in the company’s nearly 50% growth in managed properties, from 40 to over 60.
Seeing how structure and design can directly shape outcomes made me want to do this work intentionally.
In 2025 I started volunteering at Beeco.
I was drawn to the idea of using my skills to support sustainability. As a volunteer I supported product decisions through competitor analysis, user flow planning, and rapid prototyping, helping the team iterate faster and align on design direction.
I loved working with the team and felt genuine enthusiasm for the volunteer tree watering project.
Working on my first solo project for ACC.
Most recently, I owned the UX optimization of the main and pricing pages for Association of Conscious Consumers, including audits, usability testing, and the analysis of payment and checkout flows. I translated research insights into prioritized, conversion-focused UX recommendations that reduced complexity and made key user actions faster and clearer.
I'm also exploring content strategy through the work of Donald Miller, and I'm increasingly interested in the business side of design.
Outside of work…
My artworks explore the connection between our inner and outer world, through humor and the wisdom we can gather from psychology and spiritual teachings.
I’ve done some art jobs in the past – painting playgrounds and outdoor toys – and occasionally organize art workshops for children.
I’m working my way through Hungary’s Országos Kékkör, a long-distance (2597 km) hiking trail completed by only 916 people so far.
I also volunteer and serve as president of a rural community association.
I bring the same approach to everything: show up, do the work, and make it mean something.
